With two rounds of Youth Week Sports already in the books, the competition now turns to its next chapter. Three fixtures remain before the group stage is complete, and each carries its own weight heading into the second week of action.
First up, on Saturday 5th July, St. Paul Zone and Holy Trinity Zone go head-to-head in Group C. Both sides will be keen to get off to a strong start, and with no result yet on the board for either zone, this one is wide open. The same day sees Group D's St. Theresa Zone take on Blessed Tansi Zone, a fixture that promises to be just as tightly contested, with both teams eager to avoid an early setback in the competition.
Rounding things off, Group E's meeting between St. John Zone and St. Augustine Zone will be played on Sunday 12th July, closing out the group stage. Coming later than the others, it gives both zones a little more time to prepare — and both will know exactly what kind of form they need to match after watching the results from the earlier rounds.
With St. Peter and St. Ann Zones having already set a high bar in the opening round, all eyes will be on whether these three fixtures produce more of the same drama, or a few surprises of their own. Either way, the group stage picture will be far clearer by the time the final whistle blows on 12th July.
Supporters are encouraged to come out in numbers to cheer their zones on — this is where the competition really starts to take shape.
A Reminder to All Supporters
Organisers wish to remind all zones and supporters that fixtures will kick off promptly at their scheduled times, and teams are encouraged to arrive early. Spectators are also kindly reminded to conduct themselves with good sportsmanship and respect throughout the tournament, both on and off the pitch. Let's keep the spirit of Youth Week alive — competitive, joyful, and above all, worthy of the name it carries.
